I made this fun and colorful card for my cousin Jaxon who will be turning one in September. The stamp is from Whimsey, the card stock and DSP is from Stampin' UP! and the "Happy Birthyday" is metal and it is from Making Memories. I absolutely love this frog he is so fun to work with. Little kids just love getting him...

It has been a really long time since I have been on here, but I am slowly hoping to get back into the swing of things.... I had a long period of time when I just lost all my creativeness, I tried to create things but I was never happy with anything... Naked Mail Swap

For everyone who has been asking, a naked mail swap is a swap where you have a clear bottle or container and fill it all kinds of goodies, items that your secret sister wants. And you mail it in the clear bottle or container. Its alot of fun. The post office people look at you kinda funny when you take your package in to mail but it makes for good conversation.

Big News!!!!

Ok, so I have some really big news to share with everyone! I have been accepted to be on a design team! Yeah for me (sorry but I had to toot my own horn for a second)!! I have never been on a design team before so this super exciting for me! I don't want to say for who I will be designing for yet because she hasn't made the announcement yet, but once she does I will post it (tomorrow)!

This was the best news that I got today besides my naked mail swap coming in the mail so I had two great things happen in one day, that's just amazing for me since I was having a crappy day to begin with!

Hi everyone~

Well I didn't fall off othe earth again, lol.... We had the flu hit our house and well we are just now getting back on our feet. Let me tell you first hand this is not something that you want, I don't think I had a 103 fever since I was in school and I never want it again. Okay well enough about that.

The above pictures are a card that I made for Valentines Day, for a challenge for The Rubber Bombshells a blogging group that I am in on SCS. The challenge was to make a valentines card that did not contain any traditional valentine colors so here is what I came up with. And yes I know the pictures suck, (I took them with my blackberry) I just didn't feel like getting the camera out and using it. Just call me lazy today, lol....

I will probably give this to my dad to give to my mom for valentines day.

And yes I will try and get better pictures up!

I made this for my son, Ethan although you probably already guessed that! LOL! Its a target mailbox. With the frog from Whimsey stamps. You may not be able to see it but the frogs eye's glitter and the star on the flag is glittery! Don't you just love Stickles! I do!

I made these to cards for Valentine's Day for my boyfriend. All paper is from Stampin' Up! The top card I used a Whimsey Stamp, and the bottom card is a Stampin' Up! stamp set. Which one do you like? I like them both, the top one is more cutesy and the bottom one is my serious. So they both work and he will probably get both since I can't decide, lol.

Well in case anyone was wondering, no I didn't fall off the planet, lol. Life has gotten in the way. But I am now back on track and will be updating this little sight of mine as often as I can and I hope that you enjoy everything that you see.

Ethan has been keeping be busy as well, he got started in Karate, but that has stopped for now because the class are to late for him to attend with school going on now.

I have started dating again and well lets just say I could write a whole new blog on those experiences in its self, and trust me there have been some fun ones and then some not so fun ones, lol.......

Sorry that I haven't posted any thing this week, I've been kinda busy. I will get on top of things this weekend though. It has been a long week with different people in my family being sick and tonight I am going to my sisters to stay the night so she can get some sleep and becaus eshe is starting to get sick, that means that I will be getting up with the baby! (No I don't miss those days! LOL, I am glad that I am 3 1/2 years past that stage!) Anyway I will post something on Saturday and Sunday! Have a wonderful friday evening!

Note Pad Holders

Black & White Swap

These I made for a back and white only swap. I think they turned out really nice. I used a Z-fold card and for the circle I punched that out of the flower that goes with this set Broque Motifs. I just love this set it is so versitile.

Here is a story for you hopefully those with little kids can relate: I brought these down stairs to get them ready to be mailed out and my son decided that he was going to color one! There was a marker laying on the table and he said "I just needed to see if the marker worked!" Now he knows better but when I asked him why he did it all I got was "Mommy, (short pause) I just needed to see if it worked. I'm sorry." Well needless to say I had to fix it, I couldn't send out a black and white card with a blue scrible in the middle! Oh the things our kids will do! LOL!

I got these from our Michaels they were on clearance for $1.00 each! I am going back tomarrow to get some more! My Sunday

So how did you spend your Sunday?

Well I spent mine in the Emergency room with my 4 year old son! Not sitting at my craft table working hard no sitting at the ER because my son decided that he was going to put a battery in his mouth and hold it there for who knows how long, so then he started playing with the remote for the digital picture frame so I yelled at him scared him and he swallowed the battery!

He did this at about 10:30 this morning and we made it to the hospital at 11:50 and we were home by 7 this evening. He had 3 x-rays and well it seems to be moving through him just fine, thank goodness! Either that or we would be at the childrens hospital preparing for surgery!

Who would have thought that a little button size battery could be so damaging. So for the next 2 days I get look at his poop for the battery and we get to go back to the doctors to have another x-ray to see where the battery is!

I will update this in a few days and let everyone know how everything comes out ........literally!

Well I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has been viewing by blog, I thought for a while that I would be the only one racking up the counter lol! Any way I am sitting at work with nothing to do, so I thought that I would say thanks to everyone who has been leaving comments on my blog! So while I was viewing everone's blog yesterday I came across Stampin' Colleen's blog and she had this really cute handbag on it so I printed out the directions and made one last night after my son went to bed so I will be posting it when I get home this evening and a few other things that haven't put up yet.

Directions for A Beautiful Thing note holder

Stampin Colleen asked for directions on how I made this note holder so here I go:

I found the cubes at the pharmacy when I had to wait and get my son's prescription filled and knew that I could do something with it so that is what I came up with. I took a 12 inch long strip of Only Orange and covered the two sides and the back and then took another piece of Only Orange and covered the front, I traced around the inside of the front to match the front of the holder and cut it out with scissors. I then took a 12 inch piece of Real Red and evenly centered it on the front and then wrapped it around to cover the rest. and then took a 11 inch piece of Whisper White stamped it in Only Orange and Real Red and wrapped that around the two sides and the back. I just stamped the two flowers one in each color cut them out and glued them on, stamped the words and punched them with the large oval punch and added the ribbon.

I hope that this helps, it was just a clear plastic note holder that I covered.

This is a note holder that I made last night the top picture is of the front and the bottom picture is of the sides, well one of the other 3 sides but they all look the same. I found these yesterday while I was at the pharmacy getting Ethan's prescription filled. I had to take take the picture immediatly because my mom stuck claims to it! Hope you like it!

I created this card with the Summer By The Sea set from Stampin' Up!

This set has several different people stamps, a boy playing in the sand, a girl picking flowers, the one you see here the couple setting on the beach, and a woman sitting on a boat with her feet in the water.

I have used the girl to make thank you cards for a friend who is having a little girl to give as thank you cards.

I am enjoying creating and giving the things that I make with the Stampin' Up! products. I use them in everything that I do!

Their cardstock out does any cardstock that I have used in the past, when I tear the paper I don't have to worry about a white center the paper is completely dyed through.

Their stamps are user friendly! I've purchased many stamps from craft stores in my area and I enjoy using Stampin' Up! stamps the most, I don't have to worry about the out extra rubber showing up when I stamp.
